Lure of the Local Lark
16mm black & white (sd finish), stereo sound
3mins 17secs

Through the reinterpretation of urban forms of division the work questions the value that is placed on such objects by reducing them to their own materiality. Structurally as well conceptually it is concerned with the measured passage of time a concept based largely on perceptibility. Violent thrusts in time from ultra-rapid to freeze-frame occur sporadically within the visual and auditory domains in order to challenge the spectator’s preconceptions of the passing of time through the a/synchronicity of sound and image.
